What marketing is and does hasn’t changed, but the ways to market have—and always should.
Marketing is about delivering value in order to achieve a goal, such as increasing profits, raising donations, or … you fill in the blank. Every enterprise needs marketing. But to be effective, the toolbox needs to be continually replenished and refreshed to reflect the changing world around us. One way you can do this is to never stop learning about your customers, especially in three areas: the way they communicate, what messaging motivates them and how they may want you to join their conversations.
